I'll be performing the theme song from Ted with Norah Jones on The Tonight Show, Friday 2/8... Since my last update I got great news about 2 good friends.... Walter Murphy (Family Guy, etc.) got Academy Award nomination along with Seth McFarlane for best song for Everybody Needs A Best Friend sung by Norah Jones....I played guitar on the score and the song. We'll be on the Tonight Show Friday Feb 8 performing it with Norah Jones.... Meanwhile Joe Turano a great singer, keyboardist and sax player and musical director for Al Jarreau got nominated for a grammy for Al's latest CD.....Good luck guys!!!! Just finished playing on the score for an upcoming movie called Killing Seasons with Robert DeNiro and John Travolta...Christopher Young scored the movie and there's plenty of guitar stuff throughout.....Playing live gigs here in LA 2/5 at H.O.M.E. and am debuting a new group on 5/9 at the Crown Plaza jazz room-detals to come.....jumping into a project with my good friend from NYC Bob Rose(mandolin/guitar) and Domenic Genova on bass-I'll be playing mostly dobro but also guitar, banjo and mandolin, kinda of a country folk bluegrass jazzy funky mix.....in the works is an RnB/funk instrumental group with drummer Land Richards(George Benson), Joe Turano (see above) and Andrew Ford on bass(Chaka Khan) as well as some jazzier stuff and possibly a big band project......thanks for checking in....all the best....Thom
