It's been a rough journey
But look where I've come from
And the joy that it's earned me
Early in life
Before it was learning
I was crippled by pain
By the life
when it burned me
But this
is the plan
To the twist of life's tourney
Just look at me now
And the stripes that it earned me prom party outfits in dark purple
This here's my life
Regrets I have none
Peep game on my love
It's second to none
I'm armed with God's words
No more toting guns
No life in the fast lane
No life on the run
There was a time in my past
I thought It was fun
Draped in that bad life
Gripping cold steel
Drowning in drugs
While keeping it real
Doing true dirt
But lost in the thrill
The hunt of the lion
Fresh on a kill
I flam boasted
All cocky
I rocked it
Big hustle
Arms outstretched
While flexing street muscle
But life caught me slipping
And I call it a blessing
One in disguise
But back then I was stressing
But I stick to the G Code
So I kicked it in silence
Cuz it's nothin but time
Thus is my mindset
And It taught me God's love
While locked in confinement
I was broken
Yes beaten
My spirit was yearning
I gripped tight to the light
And it left my soul burning
I twist in mid stride
Eager for learning
Recovery I found it
Or perhaps it found me
So I put in mad work
Busy
as a bee
Living life on life's terms
It's hard
But I see
And ya know what's real dope
The program
It's free For the taking
So I grabbed it for me
